Responsibilities

• Support and maintain automation hardware for proper operations;
• Develop fully automated workflows to adapt bench top processes on internal robotic systems and prepare automation SOPs;
• Train automation users on workflows and best practices in a robust and reproducible manner; 
• Identify new areas of continuous improvement to reduce operational bottlenecks and to increase throughput and quality of data;
• Coordinate with project team leaders to customize automation workflows to meet project needs, and assist Computational Biology teams for data tracking and management.

Requirements

• M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Synthetic Biology, System Biology, Metabolic Engineering or related majors;
• Hands-on experience of different molecular biology and microbiology techniques;
• Independent, highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional setting;
• Good Computer and Data Analysis skills would be a plus;
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems and/or experience with robotic liquid handling would be a plus.
